Equity Release
Unlocking tax-free funds from your home’s value for a secure and comfortable retirement. We’re fully qualified and a proud member of the Equity Release Council.
What is Equity Release
Equity release allows homeowners aged 55 and over to access tax-free funds from their property value through two regulated options: Lifetime Mortgages and Home Reversion plans, both overseen by the Financial Conduct Authority. It provides a means for individuals to manage their later life finances, applicable to UK homeowners with a property valued at least £70,000. The released funds, tax-free and versatile, can be used for repaying existing mortgages, supporting loved ones, bolstering retirement finances, and making age-appropriate home improvements. As a fully qualified member of the Equity Release Council, we ensure a secure and transparent process.
Types of Equity Release.

Lifetime Mortgages:
A Lifetime Mortgage lets homeowners access funds without monthly repayments. You can receive a lump sum or smaller, regular amounts while retaining ownership of your home. The interest on the loan is rolled up and repaid, along with accumulated interest, by your estate upon death or moving into long-term care. For couples, repayment is postponed until the last surviving partner leaves the home, allowing both to reside there for their lifetimes without repayment obligations.

Setting Up Equity Release
Consult a financial adviser or mortgage broker to assess suitability. They explore alternatives, such as downsizing, and select the best option from the market. As an extra safeguard, have a solicitor review your agreement with the equity release company before signing. Your financial well-being is our priority at Endpoint Mortgages.
